Kathryn Lang – Encourage and Inspire

Encouragement comes as natural to me as breathing comes to most people. I thrive off being able to encourage, support or inspire others to reach into the possibilities that hide in their dreams.

It started with writing. I had an early understanding that the words that I wrote had meaning - and power. They could hurt or they could heal. I tried to make each word I wrote one that would still be providing inspiration long after I was gone.

Freelance writing provided me with new opportunities for my writing, and also introduced me to the online world of webinars, blogs and forums. I began to speak to online groups and having that new avenue to encourage motivated me to reach out in new direction.

It started with online conferences, sometimes just me opening for another speaker. Opportunities to speak to groups live soon started opening up. Connections through groups and organization met online and in person continued to expand the opportunities. I was speaking to small groups, women's conferences and large meetings on a monthly basis.

Sharing with others my own struggles and the hopes that grew out of those times encouraged me to write about those experiences. The words combined to create books and studies that continue to show that hope that I experienced to others.

The more I share, the more I want to share. My passion comes in helping others discover their hope and joy. I want to be able to give others the chance to see their own potential, ignite their passion and pursue that passion boldly to that unique purpose for which only they were designed.

My Marriage – Chasing Down our Purpose

Keith and I have been married since 1993, but we have been in love since almost a decade before that. Once I quit running from his unconditional love, God began to grow and mold us into a unified couple that can walk in His will and fulfill our purpose.

Keith fully supports my freelance writing and has started pursuing his own passion and dreams through my support as well.  He is a gifted dramatic artist and is sharing that gift through classes, workshops and presentations.

Our Family – Working as One

We have a family full of active boys that are home schooled.  We spend around three hours each day doing all of the basic subjects, we have family bible study and prayer time twice a day, and we play together – games, cards or outside.  I use our walk as a family in all aspects of my freelance writing – from my blogs to my manuscripts.

Every week we spend time with other families at church, scouts, choir, field trips and play days. Most days it is truly a blessing to be together all the time.  Rainy days and cold days are just chaotic enough to have us all rethinking the plan.

My Purpose – Showing Others the Path to Passion

It is all about me and my growth and walk, but at the same time it is never about me because my focus has to be on giving and loving others. The more I reach out to help the closer I come to settling into my own purpose.
