I attended a class working through the process of a business idea to a viable product. For eight weeks we met and talked and shared. Each week, I came away inspired and excited for the next step.
And then what happened?
It was time to pitch the final product and my heart stayed in my stomach for a week.
It wasn’t the first time I had made a presentation. It wasn’t even the first time I had spoken in front of a group. But it was the first time I was stepping into the possibility of my viable product.
The dream was fun to think about and plan for. The reality of the possibility almost made me sick.
When we are in the process of stepping “this much” closer to the finish line, it can be terrifying. We have to choose to step anyway.
A dream may be a wish your heart makes, but you can live that dream if you dare to step.
