Power of Accountability
You can fool yourself some of the time and you can often fool yourself longer than others, but if you want to get to where you want to go you need to be held accountable.
Some people you know will hold you down and settle you where you are.
Some people will encourage you and fuel your imagination.
But accountability will find the balance that allows you to stand strong while launching into your BIG DREAMS.
If you want to have more than you have now find ways to get accountable.

40 – Importance of Accountability
The right relationships will hold you accountable to doing more than you would do on your own, and those are the kind of relationships you need if you are going to reach your BIG DREAMS.

Accountability is about someone pushing you and challenging you, and sometimes it is all about being an example to others.
- The more people know you the more they know you. As you invest and build up relationships, the people in those relationships with you learn your tells. They will recognize when you are struggling even before you realize it. They will see when you are trying to defer your responsibilities even if you are hiding it from yourself.

The more you invest in the relationships the more you grow trust for those relationships. The opinion of someone you just met will not hold the same value as someone who you have known and built up relationship with – and learned to trust over time.

The more time you invest with others the more you share what’s going on. The closer the bond the more comfortable you feel with sharing the steps you are taking or the struggles you are going through.

The stronger the connection the bolder the connection when it comes to being held accountable. When you know someone and have a strong bond with that person then you know then you trust the relationship enough to be accountable and to hold others accountable.
- You can only hide so long from someone who knows your truth. You can hide longer from yourself than you can the relationships you have built. The more you have invested in those relationships the harder it becomes to hide.
Accountability holds you on track and when you invest in growing relationships you build the accountability you need to reach your success.
