The Biannual Blogathon Bash bolsters my mission to grow my blog. I like a good challenge. My competitive nature makes it difficult for me to walk away from an argument, back down from the obstacle or say no to the dare that it just cannot be done. I have been known to challenge myself on occasions, but it is the challenge offered by others that drives me the hardest.
I joined CampNano in June, but that has turned out to be more of a personal challenge than an outside challenge. It has moved me forward in small spurts, but nothing like I experienced during NaNo. I need more encouragement and accountability. I am a people person and work best in a people saturated environment.
I found Kathleen Garber, and her Biannual Blogathon Bash was just what I needed to boost my words to the next level.
Anatomy of a Blogathon Bash
- HEAD – setting aside a specific time to write on your blogs will help you get your head into the game and will leave you ahead of your schedule.
HANDS – getting your hands into the writing mode will make it easier for your hands to pour out more words for your blogathon challenges.
HEART – connecting with others that are pursuing the same (or similar goals) will give you motivation and encouragement for your future blogging endeavors.
FEET – creating great content that can be posted with consistency will put feet to your website and help you grow your visitor numbers.
Participating in the Biannual Blogathon Bash will not build a monstor, but breaking down the anatomy of the challenge will help you see the benefits to your writing and for growing your website.
