Faith Walkers Don’t Worry
Don’t worry – be happy is really about finding a way to focus on today instead of getting distracted by tomorrow. In a world that constantly bombards us with worries about the future, Jesus teaches us to focus on the present moment and trust in God’s promises.
Don’t Worry
- Not about your life
- Not about your food
- Not about the drinks
- Not about your body
- Not about your clothes
God had taken care of it WHEN we choose to rest in Him and walk in His way.
The Key to Living Without Worry: Embracing the Here and Now
In a world filled with uncertainties and constant pressures, finding peace and contentment can be a daunting task. However, there is a powerful key that can unlock a worry-free life: knowing and embracing the promises that lie before us. Jesus, in his teachings to his followers, emphasized the importance of not fretting about the future, but rather focusing on the present moment.
To walk confidently in our unique design and wholeheartedly trust in God’s promises, we must resist the world’s attempts to instill worry within us. Although it may seem challenging, it is essential to remember that worry inhibits our ability to appreciate the here and now. Instead of fixating on what lies ahead, we must learn to identify and cherish the opportunities that surround us in the present.
The path to a worry-free life begins by acknowledging that we cannot control or change the past, and we cannot predict the future. The only tangible reality we have is the present moment—the here and now. By intentionally focusing on what is right in front of us, we can free ourselves from the burdens of worry.
However, embracing the present moment does not mean neglecting our responsibilities or ambitions. Rather, it signifies acknowledging that worry only hinders our ability to tackle challenges effectively. When we wholeheartedly devote ourselves to the present, worry finds it difficult to seep into our lives. A heart committed to the here and now becomes a place where worry cannot take root.
If we desire to live purposefully and boldly, we must choose to redirect our attention to the present. By recognizing that our future is held in the capable hands of a higher power, we can relinquish our worries about what lies ahead. The focus shifts from the uncertainties of tomorrow to the promises of today.
The key way to defeat worry lies in embracing the here and now, recognizing that it is in the present that we can make a difference. By trusting in the One who holds our future, we find the strength to face each day without the burdens of anxiety. Let us choose to shift our perspective, embracing the promises that are within our grasp and relinquishing our worries about what is yet to come.

Matthew 6:25 – 34
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear . . .
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Getting to a Place of Don’t Worry
A focus on God builds a solid foundation for living in this world (and to avoid becoming of this world). It gives us the solid ground to stand on.
The difference between the solid ground and the sandy ground is choosing to lean into His will and to step in obedient actions from His will.
