Quote of the Day

“Avoiding tomorrow will not keep it from coming. It will only keep you from being prepared for what it will bring.”

Quote of the Day avoid tomorrow

Thought of the Day

Getting Past the Need to Avoid Tomorrow

The going gets tough and sometimes when it gets too tough you want to give up or to give in or to just crawl under a blanket and hide.

Hiding won’t fix it.

It’s okay to take a moment to recharge, but don’t give in or give up.

Tomorrow will come. Invest in little bits of forward push to be ready for whatever your tomorrow may hold.

Challenge for Intentional Actions

Refuse to Avoid Tomorrow

Take a breath.
Make a plan.
Do a little bit to prepare for tomorrow.

57 – A Plan for You

It is up to you to understand and define your why – and what you choose to see will directly affect what you understand.

Change your vision to change your world

  • First, choose to see beyond the storms. Things are going to happen – no matter how well you plan or even how many resources you set aside to deal with the plan. The road turns, the pavement ends, the circumstances shift. But, none of that reduces the possibilities of what lies ahead.

  • Second, expect to see more than what’s there. The surface view is just that – the surface. There is always more to it than what’s right there in front of you.

  • Third, it’s not a “one size fits all” vision. You have to choose to see your positives and not put the vision of others over your sight.

  • Fourth, speak the possibilities. What you see is what you’ll find and what you speak is what you’ll grow. Even in the midst of the storm, dare to speak more.

  • Finally, repeat the process of seeing and saying until he positive becomes as natural as breathing. The more you do something the easier it becomes no matter what storms rock the boat.

You only walk on water when your focus is on the one that calms the storms. You sink when you focus on the waves. If you are going to change the vision for pursuing your place in purpose you have to make the choice to turn your attention away from the waves and away from the storms.

When you change your vision you will change your world.
