Quote of the Day
“When there is a problem, always identify and evaluate your underlying assumptions. These may be contributing to the problem.” – Elizabeth Thornton
Thought of the Day
Review Your Limitations and Assumptions
Things can get in the way of your desired destination. It may be things you put there. It may be things others put there. It may be part of the natural landscape. Until you review your limitations and your assumptions about your journey you will struggle to take steps into your purpose.
Take time to review what is in the way so you can make a way to your balanced life.
Challenge for Intentional Actions
What’s in the way?
Make a list of anything physical, mental, emotional, or situational that is holding you back from your journey. Once you make the list begin to think up things that you can do or use to get around the items on the list.
Scripture of the Day
“All things are possible to him that believes.” – from Mark 9:23

Review Your Limitations
The second step for living a balanced life is to review your options and you need to know what is in your way so you can plan what to do about it.
- What are the immediate circumstances? Write out the things that are beyond our control – like weather, location, or technology.
-
What are the physical hurdles? Make a list of the physical things that keep you from being in a position to do what you know to do.
-
What are the relationship barriers? Think about the people that hold you back – intentionally or not – and how you can adjust to deal with those barriers or even find a new season for growing relationships.
-
How deep does the empty well syndrome go? Keep an inventory of what you have not to dwell on your lack but to get creative about how to use it.
-
What are the thought blockades? Know your mind. As a man think, so is he. Be aware of what you are thinking so you ca change directions or change your mind.
Where are you going and what is getting in your way? Until you define these things you will struggle to define your steps.
