Too Busy Writing to Write
The last couple of weeks flew right by me. Two birthday parties, Christmas meals and the determination to get my writing back on track left me with a hole in my writing. I was so busy trying to get all my writing done for everything else that I forgot all about writing here.
Do you ever get so caught up in trying to get where you want to be that you forget all about where you are?
Keeping my life in order helps create the ability to keep order in my life. It sounds like a Catch 22, but there are some simple tips to make it all a reality.
Tips for Keeping Order
-
1. Keep a detailed schedule β writing down what needs to be done and when for every day of the week makes it easier to actually accomplish those tasks.
2. Keep the schedule handy β knowing the details of your day and week no matter where you are will help you keep from double booking.
3. Keep the schedule flexible β plan out the details of the day but allow some room for flexibility.
4. Keep following the schedule β planning is just planning unless there is some action attached. You have to follow the schedule if you are ever going to get your life in order.
No matter how well you plan, life will interrupt every now and then. Accept this and move on. The sooner you get your life back on schedule the sooner you will be able to restore the order that will allow you the freedom to do all that you need to do.
