Quote of the Day

“If you keep it locked away you don’t have it, it has you.”

Quote of the Day - locked away

Thought of the Day

Locked Away

Let go of the unappreciated and free it up to be a blessing where it goes.

If you lock it away, you know longer own it. Instead, it owns you. You have to invest more into it and you have less left to invest elsewhere.

Not only does letting go free up the stuff, but letting go will free you up as well. Just like the flying dream is an indication of freedom, having the courage to let go is fuel to fly into that freedom.

Challenge for Intentional Actions

Breaking Free to Fly

If you aren’t making the most of it, or if it’s causing more harm than help, then let it go.

Review what you have.
Measure the benefit vs the cost.
Weigh the help and the harm.
Build up the courage to let it go.

Daily Challenge - free to fly

Scripture Focus

“Keep going. Keep moving forward so you can reach the finish line and take hold of the prize Christ has secured for you.” – Philippians 3:12

14 – Release the Unnecessary

#GrowingHOPE daily quote - good choice or right choice
We have limited resources – limited space, limited, time, limited energy – and if we put our limited resources in things that are unappreciated we don’t have what we need to do what we want.

You can fly or you can stay grounded and the difference is wrapped up in the letting go.

  • Release the unappreciated stuff. As soon as I mention that, there is something we all think about. The extras we keep just in case.
  • Release the unappreciated opportunities. You can be good at something and you can even like something, but if it isn’t appreciated then why are you doing it?

  • Release the unappreciated engagements. Time spent is time that can never be replaced. Be intentional in how you spend your time.

  • Release the unappreciated activities. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Because you did, doesn’t mean you should keep on. When the activity becomes more of a burden then a blessing then it may be time to evaluate the reasons behind your choices.

  • Release the unappreciated choices. You made the decision. You took the step. It made the difference. Now you don’t appreciate the moment or the continued choice.

The unneeded will keep you from investing in the needed.
