Enjoy the journey.
My husband and I went for a drive the other day. Along the way, we stopped to take pictures of the interesting things we saw. We stopped to eat. We talked and bantered.
We enjoyed the journey.
Life is not always a peaceful weekend drive. Most of the time it’s like trying to drive a Geo Metro through a Cat 5 hurricane. Even then, there are things to find interesting (or at least amazing).
The key is not to wait for the perfect weather or the perfect opportunity. Enjoy the journey now, where you are. Appreciate the things you see. Appreciate the people you encounter. Appreciate the lessons you are learning.
When you determine to find something positive about the journey you are on then you will discover there’s much more positive to find.
You can enjoy the journey when you make the choice to enjoy the journey.
Challenge for Intentional Actions
Take a few minutes at the end of the day to write down at least one thing that you appreciated about your journey. Repeat the process in the morning. See how long you can go without missing a day.
