More on Encouraging the Man in Your Life

Tomorrow I am beginning a class on “How to Encourage the Man in Your Life” based on the book by the same name. I’m excited and nervous about the teaching aspect, but I am enthralled by all that I am learning.

I first discovered the book back around seven years ago. I hadn’t picked it up since that first life changing read, but since I have brothers, all sons and spend more time with my dad and father-in-law than anyone else you would think books on understanding men would be my nightly read.

As I was reviewing for the class today I read several different descriptions of men that are discouraged. It was amazing that I could see the three men that I struggle the most with in those descriptions. I came away realizing that the yelling, and moping and complaining are NOT disrespect but are discouraged men.

WOW!

So I’m looking forward to sharing the book with other women who will in turn help me to understand the book even more. And I will probably go on to write a chapter by chapter study guide to go along with the book. It is making that much of an impact on me.

I’ll let you know how the class turns out and when I get the study done. For now why not take this time to make out a list of all the things that the man in your life has done that you should thank him for and why not take the time to thank him for a few of them!
