The thing that I focus on will direct my journey. The place where I put my attention will determine my steps. If I want to walk in Truth then I have to choose to turn away from the world.
When I was in school, my teacher explained that if I wanted to draw a straight line then I needed to focus on the point where I wanted to go. If I focused on the line then my line would end up crooked every time.
If I want to have a straight line in this journey then I need to be focused on the Truth – the end point of my journey.
The world will demand I look at it. The world with make noise and try to distract me from what I am doing and where I am going. The world will do all it can to get me to look at it and focus on it – that straight line right in front of me right now.
I have to keep my eyes on the Truth so that I don’t move in the wrong direction.
