51 – A Heart for Service
You are called to be in relationship and relationships grow up when fed by acts of service.

Doing for others is essential for walking out your place in purpose, but it takes effort to grow up that heart of service that gets you there.
- First, quit thinking about what you will get out of it – even if you are supposed to be getting something out of it. It’s not the actual results that matter. It’s all about your focus.

Second, pray before you act and especially before you commit to an action. Even acts of service will move you closer to your place in purpose when they align with God’s design for you in His purpose.

Third, set the martyr free. It is not all about you , no matter how awesome you may be.

Fourth, avoid the compulsion to overdo it. Too much of anything is not good. You need balance in life and for life.
- Finally, the avoid taking possession or it will begin to possess you. We are stewards, not owners.
Growing a heart for service requires keeping the focus on God. A shift in focus changes the heart. Do for God. Do as unto God. Join God in His doing. Let the actions you take in service become a reflection of a heart focused on God.
