Maintain Focus to Arrive at the Desired End
I sat around thinking up ways to make the living wage we needed to pay the everyday bills. My plans were detailed. My designs were determined. At the end of the week, I still wondered why the checking account rang hollow.
So I talked with some folks about how to make the living wage we needed to pay the everyday bills. They offered me strategies. They provided market analysis. They gave me personal experience know how. At the end of the week, I was shocked that the checking account rang hollow.
I took some time and talked with God about what I was doing. I explained how my plan would work. I showed the information gathered from the experts. At the end of the talk, I understood.
I know that we have to make a living wage to survive in this world. The bank makes sure that I remember that point. But, and this will be the biggest “but” of your life, the moment that the living wage comes before the Living Savior, you will veer off track.
I have to keep my focus on Him if I am going to do miraculous things in and through my life. Or that is to sat, if I am going to be a part of the miraculous things that He is going to do in and through my life.
It is not about me.

He is the lead. He is the direction. He is the way.
Keeping My Eyes on the Way
-
– Accept that it will not make sense. When you look at our lives from the lens of the world, it is WAY out of sync. The way things have happened do not mesh with the rules of the world. Most of the time we stand around scratching our heads wondering how on earth it is all balancing out. But that is the catch – it is not of this earth.
– Understand that it is about Him and not about ME. I know that it would be nice if the world would revolve around me (although, when I actually think it through it probably would be a bit boring), but it is about His Will, His Way, and His purpose. I am just blessed to be able to join in.
– Continue to grow and learn. The more I know, the more I will know. The moment I stop growing, I start dying. I have to keep expanding my knowledge to be able to expand my world.
– Make time for prayer and Scripture. I will never maintain my Right focus if I am not making time for the reason behind that focus.
I will get there. I know that I will get there. I have a Promise from the One that designed my path that I will get there. Things, situations, and people will try to distract me in my journey – but my focus will be key to achieving that desired end.
Be blessed,
