Moment of HOPE
You Choose
Purposeful choices. Where you are right now is a result of the accumulation of the choices you have made along the journey.
Yes, circumstances happen, but your choices in those circumstances make the difference.
Yes, people do what people do, but your choices for dealing with people make the difference.
Yes, the road will twist and sometimes the pavement ends, but your choices in those moments make the difference.
Itβs harsh to realize that what you see is what you choose.
I wanted desperately to be able to pin the blame on anyone other than me β anything other than self. I tried. I made excuses. I cried and yelled and moaned.
Still, I was where I was and none of that made a difference.
And then, I made the choice for different. It was a little choice and to anyone watching it might not mean much. After all, circumstances didnβt crumble because of the little choice. My life didnβt snap into a place I wanted it to be.
But that little choice strengthened my heart and emboldened me to take the next step.
Thatβs the true key to getting to where you want to go β itβs that next step.
You have to find your way to determine better and then make the choice for better a little choice at a time.

Making the Choices: The Power of Incremental Change
Every step you’ve taken has been shaped by your choices. Your current position is a result of the accumulated decisions made along your journey.
Circumstances occur, but your choices within them make a difference. People act, but how you choose to deal with them matters. The road may twist, and the pavement may end, but your choices in those moments define your path.
Realizing that what you see is a product of your choices can be harsh. I desperately sought to shift blame, making excuses and expressing frustration.
Yet, none of that altered my situation.
Then, I made a different choice. It may have seemed insignificant, but it fortified my resolve and empowered me to take the next step.
That’s the true key to reaching your destination β taking that next step. Determine what “better” means to you, and make small choices for improvement along the way. Embrace the power of incremental change on your journey to where you want to be.
