What Would YOU Pay?

Writer conferences are going on all the time. There are even some not that specialize in blogging. Writers with families often find it tough to travel long distance to the writer conferences or else find the cost overwhelming.

We are working to put together a writer conference to be held in the Lake Guntersville area. The idea is to have 3 – 45 minute small group sessions on Friday and 3 – 45 minute small group sessions on Saturday. Dinner would be provided on Friday and lunch on Saturday.

Some of the speakers would be:

    Experts in the internet and blogging
    Agents
    Editors
    Publishers
    Motivational speakers
    Experts in the publishing industry
    Writers

There will also be some break out sessions for more in depth discussion of the topics and a panel discussion with several of the speakers.

What would you pay to attend a writer conference that offered you this much information? Would you (and could you) pay as much as $150? Also, what are your thoughts about what needs to be provided at a conference (like more hands on working opportunities, interviews with agents and publishers or other ideas)?
