MAP IT OUT – Week 5 – Team
Tuesday – Motivators
The many relationships in my life will be the foundation that I stand on as I reach for my success. The more I invest in relationships that motivate me and coaches that challenge me the more I will have to keep me on solid ground.

Working with Coaches Allows Me to See More
I need to be invested in the motivators and the coaches if I want to get the most out of the time together.
- I have to know my expectations. I need to write down what I want or need to receive from the experience in detail.
- I have to be willing to invest into the relationship by being engaged and present during our time together.
-
I have to do the homework. Each time I am with a coach or motivator, I have to be engaged in the moment, but I have to follow up with the recommendations and guidance given during the time.
- I have to accept responsibility β not just for my actions, but for my expectations. Ultimately, it is all up to me.
- I have to be honest with myself and with the coach or the motivator about where I am, where Iβm going, what I expect, and what Iβm getting. The more honest I am the more I can get out of the investment.

[tweetthis] Working with a coach is not the answer β it is one more tool to build my success.

No matter what level of coaching a person is on, or no matter what type of coaching I may need, it is a relationship that must be built on mutual investment, honesty, and relevant expectations.
Quote of the Day to Inspire and Encourage
βOld ideas will not create new conditions.β – Raymond Charles Barker
I have to be willing to invest in my change if I want change to occur. It will not happen to me and will not sneak up and make me do it. It is up to me. My choice will make the difference.
But sometimes I need someone outside of me to help me see the possibilities. Working with others β coaches, mentors, teachers, advisors, trainers β allows me to hear the wisdom from someone who sees me from a different perspective.
