Words have power. I grew up understanding this to a level, but having children of my own has raised the bar. The words I speak – directly to my boys and just around them – have an effect on their journey.
They are not the only one. My words affect my husband, probably even more than they affect my children The words I speak spread out into the people around me. The words I speak cause me to act different and to be different than if I had made the choice not to speak the words.
Because of the power words have, I have to be aware of how I use the power. I need to be speaking words of encouragement and hope if I want to breathe life into my family and into my own journey.
