Discover the Uniqueness of You
Uniqueness forms the foundation of who you are. When you harness that uniqueness then you control the power to dominate your world.
Being normal is over-rated for a reason. You aren’t normal because there is no normal in a world full of unique people.
Each person is uniquely designed – different features, different likes, different talents, and different combinations of them all.
We can often see uniqueness in others. It’s not unusual to compliment someone on their unique talents and abilities. But when it comes to introspection, we see nothing.
Despite knowing that the world is full of unique people, it can be a struggle to see the uniqueness of me. When you take time to examine your uniqueness, then you begin to create a focus that will allow you to live out your unique design.
You Are Different
“How are you different?” The words were the first question in a series for an interview, but the answer was evading me. The rest of the answers flowed out easily, but the first question was staring at me with a smug, blank expression.
I know that I am unique in all of the world. Each one of us was created with traits and qualities that allow us to make a mark that can be made by no other person. I had just never thought of applying that concept to my writing and seeing that unique (and often peculiar) quality as ones that set me apart from other writers.
Unique Traits of THIS Writer
- I laugh at inappropriate moments because I find that when I laugh I find the strength I need to get through even the toughest storm.
- I twist together sarcasm and encouragement to form my unique brand of snarky humor. Despite what my son keeps telling me, I am funny!
- I have a natural tilt towards encouragement so I am actively seeking oppotrunities to infuse others with the courage to unlock and live their uniquenesses.
The differences that stand out in my own life are the same ones that stand out in others. I am different because there is no other like me, and I am happy to accept that responsibility.
