Frank Peretti – Illusion

Frank Peretti first delighted me with his tales of suspense in horror through “This Present Darkness” and “Piercing the Darkness.” It was my first dip into the genre of Christian fiction, but even for this Steven King fan it made an impression. I have talked about the wonder of the worlds that Peretti paints in past posts.

The latest offering from Peretti has created the same intensity. “Illusion” caught me from the first paragraphs and refused to let me go until I turned that last page. I picked it up just to see if I wanted to read it and I was caught.

“Illusion” tells the story of Mandy who gets caught up in a world that is not quite her own. It also follows the story of Dane who has lost his life and is struggling to find a new balance. Peretti brings the two worlds together with so many twists that it left me breathless for the next page.

I enjoyed getting the chance to read this masterful manipulation of the macabre that ends with redemption of hope and love. I want to share the experience with one lucky reader. Leave a comment and you will have a chance to receive your own ARC copy (that is an uncorrected proof).

You can also head over to Readers’ Realm for a second chanceto win your own copy of “Illusion” by Frank Peretti.

Things are not always what they seem, but stepping out in faith and hope can help you land in a place where things are what you dreamed they could be.
