How to Hold Tight to Joy Despite the Attacks of Circumstances
Listen to the #GrowingHOPE broadcast.
The Joy of the Lord is My Strength
The world shouts despair, suffering, and pain . . . and thatβs on a good day. If you sit and watch the news or turn on a digital device, tragedy abounds.
Inside your own bubble, the chaos does not seem to subside. Bills need to be paid. Kids need attention. The home needs care. You have to find a way to keep all the plates spinning and still finding the time (and strength) to care for yourself along the way.
Trying to do it on your own leaves you struggling . . . and probably leaves a few plates shattered on the ground.
Joy may not fix the broken plates, and it may not keep all the plates spinning, but it will give you strength even amidst the chaos.
Holding Tight to Joy
Joy is not a lack of pain, trials, or struggles but instead it is the strength to keep going through.
Β
- Seek even the smallest moments of joys.
- Listen for the still, small voice.
- Daily β moment to moment β invest in a personal relationship with God.
- Make the choice β because it is always a choice.
- Donβt expect others to understand.
Joy will never make sense to this world. The more you try to make the world understand, the harder it will be to hold on to the joy you have discovered.
Make your choice for joy, and let that be enough.
#GrowingHOPE Quote of the Day
Hold Tight to Joy
βHold tight to joy and it will lift you up even when the whole world is coming against you.β
