Living Beyond Impossible

I can move into a life beyond impossible WHEN I recognize that impossible is NOT a word. I heard the idea one morning from a popular Christian song, but it was not the first time I had heard the concept.

The idea also came from that great 1978 inspirational classic, “Animal House.” “Nothing is over until we decide it is.”

Forbes had an entire article about the understanding that there is no such thing as impossible. I read it on the internet so that makes it true – right?

I took the time to look up the word “impossible” according to the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary. It comes from the Latin word “in” and “possibilities” – which comes from the root “possum.”

Thanks in part to that direction I have decided that impossible is labeled as such by the people that would rather play possum than push ahead.

Living Beyond Impossible

    1. Dare to dream – the concept of impossible begins to put down roots ONLY when I stifle my imagination. As long as I dare to dream then I see it all as possible. Think of imagination as weed killer for impossible.

    2. Be ready to be flexible – the walls of impossible are most often shattered by the unexpected – the unexpected events, unexpected discoveries, and unexpected opportunities. Unless I am flexible enough to work through the unexpected, I risk getting trapped in impossible thinking.

    3. Continue learning to continue growing – knowledge is power when it is combined with action and growing takes action. The more I learn the more fuel I have to drive my growth.

Impossible is just a word. It holds no power. It holds no truth. It is what I decide it is.
