Encouragement can be great for fueling the focus to keep going, but sometimes you can get that next by looking the part. When you are feeling your best then you tend to do a little more than if you don’t even brush your teeth that morning.
You are the temple of God, and you need to care for you with that understanding. It will need to be your unique way, but it still needs to be done.
5 Steps to an Attractive Life
Eat right. It’s not as much about what you put in, but about how you chew. In other words, eat when you are hungry. Stop when you are satisfied. Listen to your body. And attempt to find the balance that works for you. The pyramid can be a guide, but you still need to find what works for you and what works in you.
Enjoy the outdoors. The fresh air refreshes you. Sunshine provides the vitamin D your body needs. Walking barefoot will make the experience even more beneficial for your health – well, as long as you aren’t walking on hot pavement or through briars. Enjoy the world the Creator made for your benefit.
Get (and stay) physically fit. You don’t have to run a marathon to be fit – and just because you run a marathon doesn’t mean you are fit. Again, it’s about finding your balance and your way to be the best you that you can be.
Get plenty of rest and relaxation. You need to get away from the noise and chaos of the 24/7 broadcasts and information dump. Rest goes beyond the right amount of sleep – although you want to be sure you get the sleep you need. Rest and relaxation happen when you find your happy place – the place you can go where the world isn’t allowed to interrupt.
Care about how you look. Even if you don’t go into work, you feel better when you get up and get dressed for the day. Brush your hair (and teeth). Dab on a little makeup if you want. Put on what you would wear if you were going to work. Look your best, where you are, with what you have and you will feel better about what you are doing.
The world will define attractive in certain terms, although those terms may be different today than they were yesterday and likely will be different tomorrow. Don’t get caught in the trap of what they tell you is attractive. Be your unique self and be the best you that you can be.
