Proverbs Devotion – November 30 2013
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest he rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” (NKJV) Proverbs 30: 5 – 6
Know God by knowing His Word. It seems too simple to work, but it was always designed to be simple. We determine to make things complicated and complex because there has to be more to it all.
The Word is pure – refined to the point that all of the imperfections have been melted away. There is no complex formula to understand. It is what it is. This refined, pure Word provides a shield of protection to those that trust in It and in Him (the one that wrote the Words).
It is simple. Adding to it confuses the issues and complicates the situation. Read the Word until you know the Word and in knowing the Word you will know the One that create the Word.
Keep it Simple, Saints.
