Brilliant Snaps for Choosing Words of Faith
A Carnival of Christian Women Growing through Words of Faith
You become like the people you surround yourself with each day.
I home-schooled for the last two decades – all boys, all the time. I guess that means I’m becoming like an annoying teenage boy.
Or that’s how it’s felt, especially recently.
Things haven’t been going the way I wanted and they have been going that way for way too long. It would be easy to blame the people around me. But it’s my choice to sit here and stay within the same ole same ole.

Finding Words of Faith
But a few months back, I was challenged to strip away the complicated and get back to the simple. I started looking through my website, my journals, and all of my writings looking for a way to get to a place of faith, hope, and love.
This morning, I logged into my social media and I found a piece of something that I had lost. On one of my social media groups, we were encouraged to share links to our websites and
If you are looking for some praise and devotion to guide you, Norma Poore is sharing her thoughts over on A Child Shall Lead Them. From her thoughts on how she hid from God to ways God has stepped in to remind her of His presence, this blog post breaks down the Psalms and hones in on the power from Psalm 150.

Every day, I’ve taken to sharing a quote. I took some of my quotes from 2023 and made a calendar for 2024. I’m thinking that I will make a quote of the day. So, I want to quote Sandra from her post on Sandra’s Ark, but that might annoy her (since she has a post on whether or not we need the quote). Instead, I will tell you that her post of faith quotes offers excellent reminders that it’s not the people that we need to turn to but the Word that needs to be our focus.
The more we lean into words of faith and grow in the Word, the bolder we grow in walking out our unique design. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it shouldn’t be. Kristen reminds us that we should keep it simple because it is what Jesus did, after all. (For the record, her husband may be related to my faMILy). 😀

When we keep things simple, it’s harder for worry to get a foothold. I heard that worry is simply meditating on the problems. Over on Embracing the Unexpected, Maree Dee shares some tips on how to conquer worry even in those unexpected circumstances.
It’s important to conquer worry when you are walking on your journey. It’s even more important when you are raising a brood of your own. Dana Romualdi shares some thoughts on how you can deal with parental worries by focusing on a few things every child needs for life.
Spend time with people who are growing the thoughts you want to live out. Be intentional about engagements with those people and for those people. Keep growing up that faith, hope, and love that will drive you to trust in the One that designed you to live your best life. Get invested in words of faith by connecting with others of faith.
