See Differently with Perspective Shifts
You will see differently when you become open to a perspective shift. I little bit of change in how you see or a change in how you filter what you see makes a world of different.

If you’re willing
to see things differently,
you will
see things differently.

Daring to Dream
When I was much younger, I wanted to be on stage. I thought I wanted to be a singer. But I soon discovered that I much preferred making people laugh. I wanted to entertain and tell stories. I had BIG DREAMS!
That idea morphed into wanting to be a writer. If I couldn’t be on stage, then I would tell stories through books.
But when I scored high in math and science, the people around me declared I was made for much more. “Engineering. That’s where you need to be.”
The closest I ever came to being interested in something like that was when I took apart all the pens around the house so I could figure out how they worked. That was before I started school. Since then, I hadn’t built (or taken apart) anything.
But the path they saw for me was right down that alley. “You have to live in reality.”
Shifting to a God Life
The world teaches us to live the good life. It tells us to go to school, study hard, and get a diploma to drive our profession. It tells us to get a job and work that job consistently and persistently – preferably working your way up the ladder along the way.
Then, and only then, can you retire into your good life.
Of course, the world tells you that you should have set aside monies along the way to finance your good life. It tells you that you should have set a firm foundation in the ever-changing rules of investment.
The world tells you a lot of things.
But if you shift your perspective and see differently – even just a little bit – everything changes.
Learn.
Get stronger in your strengths.
Connect with others that are strong in your weaknesses.
Build.
Grow.
Share.
The Scripture teaches us to Love God and through that Love of God and in God, we are to love others. It is written in the Word that God has promised a plan for us that includes abundance, prosperity, and our heart’s desire. Of course, this prosperity is aligned with God and in God so it requires a close, personal relationship with God.
This life is your God Life.
Choosing to See Differently
The world is loud. It bombards you with advertisements, news reports, and so much more that defend and prop up the Good Life plan. It makes its way into the teachings of our schools and floods the airwaves pouring into our eyes and our ears every day.
And that’s just from the outside forces.
Immediately around you, the world bombards you with its truths through your friends, family, and (yes, even) organized religion.
Maybe it’s all the noise that pushes us to accept the Good Life plan. We believe it is possible. We are told it is possible. People literally come from around the world to get a piece of the Good Life.
The more you hear it, the more it becomes your truth.
But do we want that truth? Do we really want that truth? Because the truth the world feeds us is so much less than the Truth we were designed to live.
In order to get past the limitations of the good life, I have to choose to see differently.
The time is available
The world says you are limited in the time you are given. If my Father has proven anything, it’s that He isn’t limited by the time constraints the world has set up. When the army needed more time, God stretched out the day. (from Joshua 10:12-14). When Hezekiah needed a sign, God turned the sun back 10 degrees (From 2 Kings 20: 8 – 11). The only reason I wouldn’t have the time is that I’ve invested my time in much doing instead of intentional acdtions.
The abilities exist within
Before birth, we are gifted with strengths, passions, and a unique purpose. As we grow up, we learn and experience things that either build up our design or cover it up. But always, the abilities are in us to do what we are uniquely designed to do. The question isn’t can you, but will you.
It’s not up to me.
God didn’t design me to change the world. He designed me – He designed up – to be in relationship with Him. It was always on Him to change the world, or to change that one heart that you have been praying for so desperately. He will fulfill His will. We are just called to yoke up and walk beside Him.
It’s little shifts that make the biggest difference. When I’m facing down the demands of the world, I don’t have jump the track to find my way. Maybe I need to slow the speed down, or take the next junction. A little difference in what I choose will make all the difference in where I go and how I get there.
The God Life Will See Differently
“That doesn’t make any sense.”
I had been explaining to my friend the new path I was on. One focused completely on the promises of God. Which meant I wasn’t going to do things the ordinary and expected way.
He was right. It didn’t make sense. In truth, it went against almost everything I had been taught growing up. It definitely went against what my husband was taught growing up. New territory laid in front of us, but we were committed to walking through together.
In Peace – because we weren’t going to make any decisions without peace leading the way.
In Truth – because if it wasn’t in the Word or backed up through Scripture then we weren’t following that path.
In Faith – because without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.

When we decided that God had so much more for us than the world could explain, teach, or understand, we got a lot of weird looks (and more than a few reprimands).
But the more we’ve leaned into it, the more we’ve become rooted in the truth that our lives are meant to be God lives.
The world still attacks – and circumstances are not always aligned with the promises of God. But together we take turns feeding the Faith that drives the Peach, always through the Truth.
We have defined what a God Life means to us and for us – based on these three principles. Now we are making purposeful choices and taking intentional actions to live that God Life.
