#GrowingHOPE Podcast - Thursday

Making the Way with Intentional Actions

Hope is making the way through intentional actions – those actions taken with determination and courage that only grows up in hope. When you are standing on the firm foundation of promise grown hope then your motivation drives actions that are intentional so you are positioned to live out that promise.

You do it because hope tells you that you can.

You walk it because hope shows you the way.

You live it because hope breathes it into you.

Hope makes you intentional and radical because it pushes you to move beyond the limits of the world.

Hope Is Making the Way through Intentional Actions

Actions on Purpose

The more you do something, the more it becomes your default way. Some people see the clock strike 5 pm and it’s time for dinner. Other people see the sun setting and it’s time for bed. While still there are those people who see the cookies on the counter and eat one while fixing dinner. But intentional actions are on purpose. You know what you are doing. You are aware of what you are doing. It is a distinct and specific action.

Actions for a Purpose

Have you ever caught yourself doing something and wondering why on earth you were doing it? Like making the bed you are about to strip so you can wash sheets? Sometimes our default ways cause us to do things out of instinct, but we have to choose to take the actions that have a purpose at their core. They are actions with aim. You have a goal and purpose behind what you’re doing.

Actions with an End in Mind

Actions taken with intention are driven by a view of the finish line, even when you can’t see the finish line. You do what you know to do because you know it’s what is required to reach your BIG DREAMS.

Actions with a Thought

You don’t do intentional things on accident. Instead, it requires thought about the action and for the action. You are aware of the movements, investments, and even motivations that are necessary to take the action.

Actions through a Prayer

Intentional actions are boldest when they are led by prayer. Instead of a wing and a prayer, you start with prayer then create a plan and then take your intentional actions.

Hope makes the way for you to walk out your purpose through intentional action. It is the strength to do all you need to do and the boldness to do it in your own, unique way.
