I went for a walk the other day and a few steps into my first lap I felt something in my shoe – most likely a small pebble. I hit my heel on the ground a few times to knock the culprit to the edge. It worked, for a while, but that pebble was determined to work its way back into disrupting my walk. Every little bit, I would have to stop again and knock it back down.

It ended up disrupting my rhythm and my focus.

Discouragement can be like that little pebble. It may seem harmless, but it will completely disrupt your focus and your journey.

Refuse to spread discouragement by making a purposeful investment in encouragement.
