Reasons to Choose a Radical Life
When you choose a radical life, people around you may stare. They may even talk about you. It can get uncomfortable walking out your unique design. But when you lean into your unique heartseed focus and dare to be all that you are designed to be then it makes all the stares and whispers worth the effort (and sometimes makes it fun to cause the stares and whispers).
We are called to be in this world – not of it!
Not of This World
βThe first time I met you, I didnβt believe you.β He shook his head. It wasnβt meant to be an insult, so I smiled as he continued. βIβve met people that put on the facade and they use all they have up trying to keep the facade going. But they eventually break.β Now he was smiling. βYou donβt.β
I laughed.
My husband laughed. βYou have no idea.β
I get what they are saying only because Iβve heard it so much. I donβt get what they are saying though. Why would anyone pretend to be positive? I understand the process of faking it until you make it, but if you lean into being positive long enough then your defaults reset to that direction.
Life isnβt all rainbows and lollipops, but my outlook is. Thatβs the difference for me and why it doesnβt get exhausting to stay hopeful and hope-filled. I choose to see the light no matter how dark the night gets.
Whatever you choose, thatβs what you find.Β Dare to be you.
The world will always tell us the βright wayβ for doing things or believing things, but that doesnβt mean that the world is correct. Sometimes the joy of the journey is to just keep taking lefts until you get it right.

After the conversation with my friend, I was reminded that my silver lining focus is a unique part of who I am. The more I feed that superpower, the stronger it grows. The more it grows, the more I can go towards the next step that will get me to my BIG DREAMS.
I am learning that my life journey, my work journey, my faith journey, and yes, even my social media journey has to be a reflection of who I am designed to be – not because it will earn me a huge following or a viral post, but because it will fuel my journey instead of exhausting me.
When I try to be something I am not designed to be, it will wear me out and probably annoy everyone around me.
Walking Out My Uniqueness
The more I embrace my unique design, the bolder I become in living it to its fullest.Β The more I determine what matters most to me and to the walk I am uniquely designed to walk, the more difficult it becomes for the world to distract me with all its grounding limitations.
More Confidence
My confidence in speaking out becomes stronger (although my husband would tell you thatβs a scary idea).
Easier to Walk
Being able to try more in my work and for my work comes more naturally because Iβm trying to walk in my natural design.
Energy to Go On
Walking my design will not only keep me from getting exhausted, it actually fuels my ability to do more – sometimes a little bit at a time and sometimes great big leaps off bridges.
Itβs not about fitting into what others have decided I need to be. It is about fitting into my skin – completely, wholly, boldly.
Are you ready to choose a radical life by walking boldly into all you are awesomely created to be?
