How to Define Success and Failure to Get More Out of Life

Success and failure have definite meaning – well, almost a definite meaning. They will both definitely mean something to you. If you want to get more out of life then you need to take time to define success and understand failure.

Success – this is the goal or point that when you reach you will have what you want.

Unless it isn’t.

Success can be defined by outside forces if we choose to let. The world has its own vision of success. The people around you have their own vision of success. When we let those visions and definitions seep into our vision and definition then it can leave us tripped up and spinning around in the hamster wheel of life.

Failure – this is the point where you aren’t trying to do what you know to do. You are staying where you are instead of making the choices to move.

Unless it isn’t.

There are people that will tell you that failure is not reaching your goal – it doesn’t matter what you learn or accomplish in the process. The goal is everything. When you get tangled in this singular idea of failure then you can miss the chance to pivot, to find a unique new way, or to put your ingenuity to work.

Success is defined by you and pursued by you.

Failure is determined by you and given in only by you.

Happy Thoughts

There is a saying that if you shoot for the stars even if you don’t reach them you can still land on the moon. In other words, just because you don’t get to where you thought you were going to go doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

It’s okay to not reach the stars every time, as long as you keep reaching for those stars!

You are in control – choose your own way or choose to give that control to others. Either way, it is up to you.

Moment of HOPE

No matter what others tell you, it is all up to you.

You define your success and you determine if you reach your success.

You also define failure and you determine if you fall into that as well.

Be blessed,
